Rotation Interval
The rotation interval determines how frequently your IP address changes. Setting the right interval is crucial for balancing anonymity, performance, and specific use-case requirements.
Available Interval Options
We don't provide a list of intervals. You can choose any interval that suits your needs through the first icon on the right of the "Rotating" toggle. You can enter a custom interval in hours, minutes, or seconds. From Pro users, we offer custom intervals down to the second for maximum flexibility.
Choosing the Right Interval
- Short intervals (e.g., every request): Best for scraping or accessing highly restricted content
- Medium intervals (5-30 minutes): Balanced approach for most use cases
- Longer intervals (hourly or more): Suitable for maintaining sessions or when stability is priority
Setting Up Rotation Interval
- Access your PinguProxy dashboard
- Go to your selected proxy
- Select your desired interval from the action menu
- For custom intervals, enter your preferred time in hours, minutes, or seconds
- Click "Confirm" to apply the new settings
Monitor your proxy's performance and adjust the rotation interval as needed. Remember that very frequent rotations might lead to slightly increased latency, while less frequent rotations could compromise anonymity for certain applications.
